What are the system requirements for Thrilled for You™?
Thrilled for You runs on an Apple Macintosh computer. It requires a webcam and either Leopard, Snow Leopard, or a later version of the operating system (if there is one when you're reading this).
Is there a version that runs on Windows?
There is currently no version that runs on Windows. However, if you'd like one, definitely let us know. If enough folks are interested, we'll fire up Visual Studio and take a stab.
Is there a version that runs on the Apple iPad?
At the moment when this document is being written, the iPad hasn't even shipped. But as best we can tell it has no webcam. If and when a version of the iPad ships with a front-facing camera, and you want Thrilled for You for the iPad, just let us know. If enough folks are interested, we'll see what we can do.
What if I don't have a Mac with a webcam?
Unfortunately, both are currently required to run Thrilled for You.
Is there a version that runs in a web browser?
Currently there is no version that runs in a web browser. We made this decision because we believe that most wedding reception venues don't have reliable internet access. Rather than force the wedding party to mess with internet, we'd rather just make sure to capture the video locally. You can share it later on sites like Vimeo and YouTube if you like.
How much does Thrilled for You cost?
A customized version of Thrilled for You costs $99(USD).
Can I design and use my own theme?
Currently we ask you to choose one of the themes we have created for you on our customization page. If you're interested in designing your own, or having us design one to match your wedding aesthetics, let us know. If enough people are interested, we may try and offer that as an option.
How do I get the software?
After you've confirmed payment, we will e-mail you a link at which you can download the software within 24 hours.
Where on the hard drive does Thrilled for You put the recorded movie clips?
Thrilled for You video clips are placed in a folder (strangely) called "Thrilled For You" that is in "Movies" which is in your user folder on your Macintosh. Movie clips are named with the date and time they were taken as well as the name the person recording the movie clip typed in to the software.
What size and resolution are the recorded movie clips?
Thrilled for You compresses video using the H.264 codec using medium bit-rate settings with dimensions no larger than 720x480. Built-in iSight cameras are currently 640x480 so that's most likely what you would end up with.
How do I quit Thrilled for You once it's running?
Press command-Q to quit Thrilled for You (just like most Mac applications).
Can I use my copy of Thrilled for You at more than one wedding?
Thrilled for You is personalized to be used at once wedding event per license.
Do you have a version of Thrilled for You for other events?
We may do other versions for other events including birthdays, etc. Let us know if you're interested and we'll see what we can whip up in the JFM kitchen.
Can Thrilled For you work with non iSight cameras?
The application is currently designed with the assumption that you're using a recent Mac with a built-in iSight camera. It just uses the default video input. It's similar to Photo Booth that way. In your case, the default may well not be the input you want. Sorry about that. However, there is one workaround you could try. The idea is to use the "wrong" input in another application so TFY is forced to use a different input (hopefully, the one you want). The easiest thing is to use iChat to grab the input. Here's Apple's support document on how to do this (just pretend Thrilled for You is Photo Booth): http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2819?viewlocale=en_US
